Adarga Achieves Gold Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme
We are thrilled to announce that Adarga has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award of the DRM Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising our unwavering commitment to supporting Veterans, Reservists and the wider military community. This achievement underscores our company's long-standing dedication to the Armed Forces and our ongoing efforts to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for those who have served or continue to serve our country.
At Adarga, we are proud to employ a significant number of Veterans and Reservists across all levels of our organisation, from our Board of Directors to junior team members, believing in the immense value and unique skills that these individuals bring to our workforce. We also extend our support to the families of those in service, offering flexible working arrangements for military spouses, allowing them to balance their professional aspirations with the demands of Service life.
“During my resettlement from the military in May 2022, I was fortunate enough to be offered a four-week industry placement by Adarga. My time at Adarga provided me with crucial experience of a civilian working environment, and more specifically, gave me insight into working for an Artificial Intelligence company, and the types of roles I may want to consider as I embarked on my civilian career. It was an incredibly formative experience for me, with the Adarga staff going out of their way to ensure the four-week programme was tailored to be of maximum value.
Throughout my placement, Adarga's commitment to veterans and their future employment was clear to see, with everyone - from the most junior employee to the CEO - putting time aside to answer questions and offer guidance and advice. I finished my placement in a far more confident mindset on future employment prospects than I had when I started, and have Adarga to thank for supporting my resettlement in such a helpful and selfless way. I went on to complete a number of other courses and placements during my resettlement but was subsequently very pleased to accept a full-time job offer from Adarga and started working for them as a Product Manager in September 2022”.
Adarga would like to thank Greater London’s Regional Employer Engagement Directors for all their support and advice through the application process, and also congratulate our fellow new Gold Award holders. We’re looking forward to seeing many of you at the Award Ceremony later in the year.
Minister for Defence People, Veterans and Service Families, Dr Andrew Murrison said:
"I would like to thank all the organisations that have been recognised in this year's awards. I'm delighted that we have seen so many organisations recognised with a gold award. Their continued support demonstrates the unique benefits and strengths that our Armed Forces community can bring to the workplace."
Achieving the Gold Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme is a tremendous honour for us, and it serves as a testament to our ongoing dedication. This recognition only motivates us further to set higher goals and strive for continued excellence. We are committed to maintaining our support for Veterans, Reservists, and their families while continuing to build an inclusive environment that values their unique contributions.
We would advocate for any Forces friendly organisations that would like to begin their own journey through the Employer Recognition Scheme to start by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. Information about the Covenant can be found here.
