Data. Digital. AI: Delivering on the UK’s Strategic Defence Review

The publication of the UK Strategic Defence Review marks a decisive moment for the future of national security — placing data, digital capability, and AI at the heart of defence transformation.

We welcome the Review’s clear-eyed focus on operational advantage through technological innovation, and its vital role in providing the UK with a competitive edge.

The emphasis on speed and collaborative effort with industry reflects how modern capability must be delivered: not in isolation, but as a shared mission between Defence and trusted sovereign partners.

Most importantly, what is absolutely clear in the Review is that we cannot afford to wait. The threats are real, the pace is accelerating, and continuous innovation is now the baseline. Just like software, this is never ‘done’ — it’s about constant development, rapid iteration, and delivering real-world advantage.

At Adarga, we’re proud to stand alongside the UK Ministry of Defence in building sovereign AI capabilities that are fast, trusted, and always evolving.

As part of our Enterprise Agreement with the MOD, we’re already delivering secure, mission-ready software across domains — and we’re committed to building on that capability in lockstep with operational needs.

This review sets out a bold course , and we’re ready to deliver on it. Our mission remains clear: to turn vision into capability — and data into decisive action.

We look forward to the release of the important Defence Investment Plan which will underpin delivery of the SDR’s vision.
