It’s time to be a Christmas analyst: can you find the missing links in our AI-themed puzzle?

With the holidays upon us, we’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

In keeping with Adarga tradition, our Christmas card for you features an AI-themed puzzle which brings to life Knowledge Graph technology with some festive fun. What this technology is and how it works will become more apparent as you fill out the puzzle.

How does the puzzle work?

The puzzle requires you to connect the dots between a series of Christmas-themed people, places and things. Can you find the missing links and complete the snowflake-shaped Knowledge Graph?

Instructions:

The lines between the bubbles (otherwise known as nodes) represent links. To complete the puzzle you must:

Select a Knowledge Graph branch to begin.
Try and fill out the outer white node first. The answer is determined by finding the link between the yellow and red nodes surrounding it.
Next move on to the inner white node of the branch. This links to the outer white node and the surrounding blue nodes on the branch.
See if you can fill in all of the nodes to complete the Knowledge Graph.

Top tips:

Starting from the outside of the Knowledge Graph will allow you to create another clue for the inner node.
You can start from any branch, there is no order.
If you are a mac user, you should be able to fill out the puzzle digitally by opening with the preview.app programme.

What inspired the card’s design?

The snowflake puzzle on the front page of the Christmas card represents Adarga’s Knowledge Graph technology. Teamed with natural language processing (a form of AI that processes human language), it automatically extracts and connects relationships between people, places and things buried across vast information sets. It allows users to understand intricate networks and surface hidden relationships that may have otherwise been lost in the noise. In other words, it can carry out the hard work you put into determining the relationships in this puzzle in seconds.

We have taken some creative liberties in the spirit of some festive fun when it comes to the Knowledge Graph puzzle and the types of connections it identifies, but we hope it gives you a good idea of the power of AI automation.
